A depth finder is a equipment used on boats and can relate to several devices. These devices determine the depth of water and various items at many depths in water. A fish finder is a device used to locate fish at various water depths. Echo sounding is also categorized under the depth finder category.

This technique sends sound pulses in water to measure the depth of water. Next is the sounding line, which is also a depth finder, which uses a rope to assess the depth of water. Sonar stands for sound navigation and ranging and is the commonest method used for finding depth. For assessing depth, a sonar depth finder uses underground sound propagation.

It usually consists of a screen which shows data and is placed on the boat. The device that releases sound waves is placed at the underside of the boat on the exterior that is in the direction of water. Sound waves are sent in the water and they retrace to the sonar depth find when they strike an object (a fish, a stone, etc.).

A number of these devices also give three dimensional pictures to exhibit the position and measurement of the object positioned under water. Other than searching for the position of fishes, these pieces of equipment also help out in finding under-ground foliage and rockiness below water. Thus, depth finders help in easily navigating a boat.

This is specifically true for large vessels which have very large propellers beneath the surface of water. The depth finders help out in ceasing any potential collision that can damage the surface or essential parts in a boat. Shallow areas can additionally be avoided with the help of these devices. Humminbird is a well-known brand of depth finders in The United States.

They also have advanced navigation systems like marine radios and GPS systems. The Humminbird depth finder is available in more than 100 countries other than USA and Canada. Furuno, Eagle, Lowrance and Garmin are certain other brands available in the market.

Aluminum fishing boats is a favorite among fisherman of all ages. They come in many different lengths and have different uses. Each person has a fishing boat as it has for any particular reason. Those who make these both realize that there is a strong need and demand for these boats, and they are made for the true fisherman or an occasional fisherman in mind. They are versatile and has many uses.
size of the boat is very important to fisherman. Aluminum boats, others are built with different styles of fishing in mind and can be used for different fishing venues. You can buy a fishing boat as small as ten meters, and you can get them up to over twenty meters to larger water and group activities.
You want to choose the type of hull for your aluminum fishing boat. Typically, fishing boats, and recreational boats come in a v-hull shape. They also come in a pontoon style shape that is very strong and able to hold a number of people too much free time and relaxing fishing trips.
One advantage of having an aluminum fishing boat is that they can be customized and painted. This is not true for fiberglass boats. Aluminum boats can be transformed into almost any boat you need.
People who buy this kind both like to fish in manmade lakes. They are chosen, manmade lakes on the grounds that these lakes were stopped up rivers and streams and mainly contains the remains of trees that includes stumps and large branches. These ships will not be punctured by these things easily.
metal aluminum is highly resistant to rust. Aluminum is what is found in pop cans and other beverage cans. They are relatively easy and is very sturdy.
Repairing a boat like this is not so hard to do. If, by chance, a gap occurs in the boat so it can be fixed easily with a patch and a welding. It is not easy to do for wood to fiberglass boats. If a hole occurs in one of these, so the repair can be expensive.
This type of ship is pretty fuel efficient. Aluminum is pretty easy but powerful. If you’re going to run out of fuel, so rowing this boat is very light and maneuverable.
The one thing you do not want to do again and again use your aluminum boat for fishing in salt water, like an ocean. Over a long period in saltwater metal of the boat will begin to weaken and then rust will be imminent. It may happen that you will experience leaks. Moreover, no fish in this type of boat in a thunderstorm or a thunderstorm, since metal tends to conduct electricity.
For all the different choices of boats to choose from and all the different venues to fish on aluminum fishing boats is a natural choice for the avid outdoorsman. They are very tough, very tough, and is very versatile. They are a natural choice for any fisherman.
There are more reviews and information on Lund fishing boats aluminium fishing boats and on my website.

Fishing is a past time that many people like to do. At times, however a person wants to get out into the water to achieve the best possible results. The problem with that is with so many boats available to buy a person needs to know the positive aspects of owning Lund fishing boats compared to the other brands that are available on the market.
positively by owning these is that they are going to look good all the time. So instead of worrying about the boat looks horrible a person can know the boat they bought looks great all the time. From carpet that is included in the boats to vinyl wrap on the outside, a person can know the boat, they are stepping into just screams that it looks nice.
Another benefit will come from the technical quality. This can be a big advantage to owning one of these boats, since a person will be able to rest easier knowing that the hull is solid for them. So they will not have to worry about the hull not in the middle of the lake, ocean or another body of water they are in.
Something else that may occur the boat quality will be higher than they are accustomed to see. So instead of having to worry about issues of a boat is not an inspection or get lost because they could not see the instruments that will be a thing of the past. That’s because the boat is equipped with some really high quality LED lighting that helps illuminate instruments.
Aluminum bodies are what these boats are made with. While some people may think that the aluminum body is not of good quality as what they think about in a boat, but they should realize that the boats hull is lower in maintenance. This lower maintenance costs would be a great thing to realize, as there can help save money on the boats cost. However, the body will be stronger than what a person is accustomed to seeing on such a lightweight body.
mark of the boat should be considered as well. This will be important when a person believes that this name is one of the legends in the yachting industry. So a person may realize that since the mark is of such quality that they will stand by the product they produce and respond to any problems that exist in time.
Robustness should be considered with respect to the boat. It can be a very important factor to take into consideration when a person wants to know that the boat will stay afloat for them in rough waters. With these boats on a person may know that it will stay afloat because of the reinforced hull, which is present and the extra liquid ballast.
For some, fishing is a great relaxation technique they use. However, some people think it’s frustrating because the fish always seem to be in the deeper part of the water. It is when a person will want to consider the positive aspects of owning Lund fishing boats to reach deeper water to the fish always seem to hide in. So after they know the positive in that they want to buy one of these boats and then fishing may be even more fun and relaxing than what they are accustomed.
There are several review articles and knowledge on the subject on my website Lund fishing boats www.lundfishingboats.org.

Boating and sailing can be really fun. But, before you get on deck, you need to take the right precautions otherwise the fun might turn dangerous. Not many people realize how dangerous boating can be. Looking at a boat you can see how the vessel could get into potentially fatal accidents. To avoid danger and accidents, the office of boating safety regulates the sport. The office of boating safety is the regulatory board that determines what it means to boat safely. It is the office that tells us we should wear life jackets, know how to ride a boat before driving one, and keeping boats in proper working order.

There are fatal and less serious accidents every year because of boats. Some of them are serious and some not so much, but, regardless, the office of boating safety wants to make sure that you are doing what you’re supposed to be doing. Inexperienced boaters are the biggest cause of accidents as they pose a danger to other sailors and swimmers around them. The boating office can determine whether you are skilled enough to ride a boat, and thus accidents can be reduced. This assurance is like a driving license for a boat. The office of boating safety is where you would go to get such certification.

It is vital that any vessel you sail is thoroughly maintained and working safely. Regular or annual maintenance checks need to be done so that you are safe and comfortable whilst sailing. One of the biggest features of boat safety is the application of insulator materials, especially acoustic insulation. The rooms below deck need insulating material, including the engine room so that these noises do not make sailing a loud and un-enjoyable experience. If the materials used in acoustic insulation are not kept in good order, they can be a fire hazard and will let more noise into every room, making sailing less fun.

If you are a romantic at heart, a cruise vacation for you and your loved is the best way to heighten your love interests for one another. Cruise ships realize the importance and trend of getting married, engagement parties and honeymoons while cruising and are adapting to this higher need.

Many people get engaged on their cruise vacation because of the romantic setting and atmosphere. Some cruise lines even have packages to allow you to pop the question in front of a large audience. Asking your loved one to become your significant other couldn’t be more romantic!

If you’re already engaged, why not get married on a cruise ship? The benefits of getting married while cruising are that you do not have to plan meals, vacation packages or travel for your loved ones. However, you need to consider legal issues if you decided to get married at sea. Some foreign countries do not allow at-sea marriages or will count them “null”. The same does not go for getting married at port. You can purchase specific wedding packages from your cruise line and prices range from a thousand dollars to $5,000. Wedding receptions are wonderful on a cruise ship because everything is already set up for you.

If you’re already married, how about renewing your vows? Cruise ships are the perfect place to perform a renewal of vows. Many cruise ships have small chapels so that you can perform a renewal ceremony. Most times, a renewal of vows is performed by the ship’s captain.

Remember, on your honey moon, you should take your marriage license or certificate. Honeymooning on international waters can be fun and enjoyable for both you and your loved one. Remember to check with your travel agent to obtain a larger bed or to book a better suite. Many people try to combine getting married AND having their honeymoon on their cruise vacation.

by Ferdinand Emy

It is vital to remember that crappie fishing is a blend between patience and a careful touch on your line.

For those who enjoy fishing but do not want the challenge of difficult trophy fish, crappie fishing may be for you. Like other species of fish, there is tackle best suited for crappie fishing. Ultra light rods are often suggested to see the play of a crappie bite, as these fish have soft bites. Due to their small size, it is suggested that you use either two pound or four pound test. If you are fishing in a region with bass or pike, it is suggested that you go with four pound test to allow you to catch the other fish that may be in the area.

While you still need a fishing license, many areas that support crappie have no limits on the number you can catch. If limits are in place, the numbers that you can bring in are quite high, and many people do not get close to reaching the number of crappie that can be caught. Crappie are small fish with a similar flavor to perch, but tend to be slightly sweeter. Crappie fishing is very common due to how common the fish are.

As pike and walleye may hunt in areas populated with crappie, this can open up other options for you. When crappie fishing, you will typically be targeting the bottom of the area you are fishing. If you are fishing in an area with pike or walleye, you may consider adding extra tackle to your kit to allow you to catch all of the types of fish active in the area. This lets you stock up your fridge and freezer on the fish without as much worries on regulations for the fish.

With fish ranging in the six inch to ten inch range, they provide a decent amount of fight for their size, a crucial aspect of finding edible sports fish. In many places, the crappie populations have been tagged as too high, with few rules and regulations on the number of crappie that you can take home. Bobbers may be used to keep the lure in the kill zone, which is usually a little above the bottom of the water. Keeping your lure in motion will often help detect a crappie bite and let you land these fish. When you are setting up your line, you will need to adjust your bobbers according to where you are casting, as you will be less effective at fishing for crappie if you keep your line touching the bottom.

A Seadoo Cover beauty contest is the last thing I expected to see at a race. All of the racers, including myself are keen to get those covers off and get on to the water! However, a few months before the tournament I mentioned to the organizers that I had started a seadoo pwc cover blog and that seemed to pique their interest. The next thing I knew the organizers included an optional cover contest at dusk on Saturday evening.

The seadoo cover industry is a huge industry. The individual machine manufacturers hope to make up to 50% of their annual profit in brand marked after sales. After market products include covers, stickers, t-shirts, hats, etc. It can be anything that can hold a logo. There are also independent marine cover retailers offer all sorts of covers and can customize them for you. The most successful riders are sponsored by a number of different products and businesses and their covers are covered in different logos. Although loathe to admit it, most riders take their seadoo pwc covers very seriously.

When I asked around Saturday morning, no one would admit to wanting to enter the contest. I did not mention that I would be blogging about it as I thought that might deter people even further. After all, the whole idea was a bit novel and inconsistent with the macho sport of personal watercraft racing.

After the races were over and the riders were relaxing I went to find the organizer to discuss how we might get people to sign up for the cover contest. The competitors were standing around in small groups getting reacquainted and discussing the waves. I overheard some small talk about the cover contest. I overheard some of the winners telling those less successful that maybe they had a chance in the cover beauty contest. In response, some riders were telling other riders that they had no hope in the cover contest. As the sun began to set, claims of having the coolest cover became more insistent. All of a sudden guys were rushing to their machines to dry them off and get them covered.

Once family was permitted to enter, we got 4 or 5 contestants immediately. There was a clear sentimental favorite as it was presented by a dancing 5 year old. The custom details were vines and roses as the watercraft was based out of Roses Marina. The cover itself was a light green water resistant material with thick darker green stitching.

The seadoo cover contest was a lot of fun. I can see it being repeated at this competition year after year. Some of the competitors were taking about swapping covers with some of the international competitors at bigger events. This tournament has always been one of my favorites. As always, it was a lot of quality racing but this year it had the added twist of featuring custom designed seadoo pwc covers.

A check for safety tools on board is one of the most important boating safety guidelines to bear in mind for safety tool on board. Always make sure that there’s more than enough mandatory equipment needed by the US Coast Guard on board your boat before heading out for a day of boating on the water.

Personal floating devices or life jackets are critical boating safety devices. Ensure that is enough number of life jackets for everybody on board your boat. In Particular, there is need for you to insure that there are adequate life jackets that will fit everybody who will be on your boat. Check to insure that all the life jackets are working properly and that all of the clips and straps are functional. You should check your state’s laws on boating to determine the minimum age that people are supposed to wear life jackets every time.

Seadoo covers show pride of ownership. It might be your first pwc or your fifth, going to the effort of getting a properly fitted seadoo pwc cover shows that you respect your machine. Seadoos are powerful and expensive machines. Failure to treat them right will only make your machine look shabby when compared to the machines of others.

Making sure you use some sort of cover to protect your pwc is one part of keeping your seadoo in the best shape possible for as long as possible; but the other part of keeping your watercraft in great shape is making sure that you properly prepare your pwc before putting it away for any length of time. Periodic maintenance will keep things running smoothly, but you need to pay special attention to fixing problems and preparing your seadoo for storage in order to keep it looking and running like brand new.

There are many things you must do to ‘Winterize’ your pwc (you will want to follow this same procedure any time your pwc will be out of use for an extended time, even if it is not winter). These include at a minium: getting rid of any salt and dirt, including from the cooling system, stabilizing the fuel, lubing any cables and lube spots, protecting any rubber or vinyl parts, and removing the battery. Once all the routine storage tasks have been done, fix any broken parts or nagging problems (cracked or waterlogged dials) so they won’t be issues for next seadon. Finally, once everything is ship-shape, cover your pwc with an appropriate cover that will adequately protect your pwc while it is stored.

In order to properly cover your pwc for storage over the winter, or just an extended period when you won’t be using your seadoo, you have to determine the extend of protection that your watercraft requires. For example, if you are going to winter your seadoo, and you are unlucky enough to have to store it outdoors, then finding the best quality weather proof seadoo cover makes the most sense.

Storing inside offers many more options for choosing a pwc cover for your seadoo. You can re-use your summer cover or the cover you use to trailer your seadoo. If your cover protects your seadoo, but allows your seadoo to breathe over the winter, this will allow the maximum protection without accumulating damage from moisture buildup.

Over the years I’ve had many seadoo covers, of all shapes and sizes, and just as many materials and ranges of quality. Of course, I’m lucky to have owned seadoos for the better part of my adult life, but needing to protect my pwcs for all those years gave me the chance to figure out what a difference quality makes when it comes to pwc covers.

If you respect your passion for seadoos then you need to treat your machines with respect. Choose a seadoo cover that is right for your needs and you will not regret it.

Determining how much your vessel is worth a fundamental, but also one of the hardest elements of owning a hobby watercraft, especially when the boat is up for sale, but also for the buying counterpart, as well as for professional such as surveyors and insurance representatives.

For the seller, pricing the boat well will make the difference between walking away with the right amount of funds to but an even bigger and more performing watercraft, or finding himself undersold and unable to retrieve its investment in full.

As a buyer, similarly your ability to appraise your new toy with the right foreknowledge is essential, and you should not walk lightheartedly into a transaction, or you risk being on the losing side of it. You need to learn about boat appraisal to strike a fair deal.

For both boat buyers and sellers, it is a hard evaluation to make, especially because boat prices fluctuate a lot due to circumstances that are hard to understand, not only due to perceived value but also due to factors such as seasonality and location. It is easy to enter what looks like a great deal, only to later discover that you have been had.

To do the evaluation right, there are two principal routes: One is to employ a professional appraiser, the other one is to do it yourself. Hiring a broker is the easier and quicker solution, but it is not automatically the best option.

On the other hand, why should you hire a broker and spend money and time waiting for other peoples judgments to affect you? There is plenty of information available on industry publications and on websites, so if you have the option of doing the boat evaluation yourself, then why not do it?

To become your own appraiser for boat values, you need to look at as many resources as possible – and there are plenty of books and websites on the subject. Your aim should be to come up with realistic minimum and maximum process for the kind of boat you want or are about to sell.

Online or paper trade magazines are a very popular source to compare the min-max values of your boat with comparable objects – check out classifieds, journals, various yards and boat traders. You will find plenty of listings with prices, and if you look at various ads over time (in different issues) you will get an idea of how fast objects are selling, that is if the asking price was right.

Also good are boating festivals, which are usually organized by boating clubs and yachting marinas. These shows are excellent to pick up more info on boat values, plus people who come to the shows are experts in this industry and know what they are talking about. Don’t underestimate the value of a chat with the right person to accurately pinpoint the possible value of a boat – and you may even find a buyer!

Another good place to spend some time at are boat and yacht shows, even if you are ultimately buying or selling second hand. Finding out by yourself what kind of features and accessories are in fashion helps in determining what is currently in demand and what isn’t and this applies to used boats too.

If you want an interesting hobby, it might be time for you to take a look at radio controlled boats. What kind of boat do you want, and how much cash can you invest in them? What kind of boat are you interested in, and do you want to put the boat together yourself or do you want to purchase one ready to run?

Let’s start by seeing what kind of space you have available. Do you have a large body of water near you that is weed free and calm? When you have located a good place to run your boats, this is a sign that it is definitely time to get started.

Consider the three kinds of radio controlled boats that are available to you. They are differentiated by what kind of fuel they use, and the most popular and easy to find will run on electricity. With an electric radio controlled boat, you are just going to charge the batteries in a wall outlet for a few hours. They are not as powerful as other options, and the batteries do need to be replaced on a regular basis. You can recharge the batteries however, and switch them out as it becomes necessary.

The second type, which is often popular with intermediate rc boat hobbyists is the nitro-powered rc boat. These boats are fueled with a nitro-methane mix and provide the boat with a lot of power. However, this type of fuel is also the most expensive. Unlike electric-powered rc boats, you can quickly and easily refuel and be back in the race again.

Finally, we have the gasoline powered boats, which are the most powerful RC boats on the market as well as being the fastest. They run off of a mixture of oil and gasoline and these boats are considered the top of the line. It is important to remember, however, that they are also the most expensive and the loudest. Finding a place where you can use them can be difficult, but you’ll find that the high initial investment is worth it because it has lower refueling costs than the nitro-methane powered boats. What boats are you interested in picking up?

Whether you choose a high end gasoline RC boat, a nitro RC boat or an electric RC boat, make sure that you take some time to see how the boat handles. A single hull that has a deep V shape will give you the best handling without impacting your speed.

If you are limited by your budget or the size of the water available to run your boat, you might be best off to start out with an electric rc boat. While not as powerful as gasoline and nitro rc boats, there are some upscale electric rc boats on the market today that can reach speeds as high as 40mph.

An electric rc boat might also be the best solution if you have to run your boat in or near a residential neighborhood where nitro and gasoline rc boats would be way too loud and might even get you banned. Electric rc boats are very quiet and will not disturb the peace.

Radio controlled boating is a great hobby to get into and is rather easy to enter. With so many choices it offers something for every person. You can enjoy building the boats, running them, or, if you really want to challenge yourself and experience it as a team sport, racing them.

In conclusion I recommend that you purchase a radio controlled boat that is suitable for your environment, your desires, and your budget.

Jon boats are the basic open rough boats that are suitable for sport fishermen or to use as a transport boat in shallow waters. These types of boats are usually flat-bottomed with a square stern and this why they perform so well in shallow and calm waters.

Jon boats have been around for quite a while and are usually fitted with an outboard motor. Originally they were always constructed in wood and there are still Jon boats made of wood to find on the market. A wooden boat are preferred by some still, yet they do require more work than other types of materials and this is why there are many other alternatives to find on the market.

The most popular materials are fiberglass, polyethylene and aluminum and they are all making a boat that is strong and light. The qualities differ some between them and which kind of material you want to choose depends on what type of waters youre going to use your boat in.

While aluminum is strong and adds extra protection if youre driving your boat in rocky areas, it is not as suitable for salty water since this can have a negative impact on the boat and have a corrosive effect which can lead to leakage and other unwanted damages.

If this is the case, youre probably better off with a polyethylene boat since this material is very resistant to salty water. This boat is also strong and can take a few beats yet you should avoid dragging a Jon boat out of polyethylene over rough surfaces.

If you want a boat that is quiet and still usable for salty water, fiberglass is a good choice. This material makes less noise than polyethylene boats when youre moving it over sand bars, through vegetation or when youre moving interiors around the boat.

If you know what youre going to use your Jon boat for and you know the area well where its supposed to be in the water you can feel secure to choose a boat from a material that is perfect for your specific situation.

If you want a boat that is easy to handle, safe to drive and that is good to use for fishing and shorter transportation, a Jon boat is a very good choice. Make sure youre getting your boat from someone that has a lot of knowledge and you can be sure that you will have a boat thats perfect for your needs.

If you are considering finding a pontoon boat for sale there are a few things to look at before you buy. Getting a pontoon boat can be a great investment and can make your time on the waters a lot more enjoyable than ever before.

What kind of pontoon boat youre getting depends on what you are planning to use it for. There are a lot of different types of pontoon boats for sale, in different materials, sizes and price classes. Its a good idea to think through a few times what kind of waters youre mainly going to use it in and also how many people there are going to be in the boat.

If youre a sport fishermen and only looking for a small boat that can be brought easily to different waters you might prefer to get an inflatable pontoon boat. These boats are usually some of the cheaper boats and can be a one man boat. It is quite popular among fly-fishermen.

For fishermen, pontoon boats are one of the best options for boats. Because of their special construction, with a flat bottom and pontoons on the sides they are stable so that you easily can move around in the boat with less risk of falling over. This also means that they easily can reach shallow waters, which is a great advantage for fishermen.

A pontoon boat can also be used as a family boat, to go on day trips with. There are many larger pontoon boats for sale that have room for all family members and extra package too. There is often a space that is suitable as a place to go swimming from.

Pontoon boats are often made out of aluminum which makes them light and strong and capable of rougher beats from rocks in lakes and rivers.

For salty waters, however, its a better idea to have a pontoon boat that is made out of fiberglass or polyethylene. Aluminum is more sensitive to corrosion from salty water whereas the other materials withstand it easily. You can find plenty pontoon boats for sale also in those materials so you can be sure that there is a boat for you wherever youre planning to use it.

Boating can be a relaxing pastime, floating along on a river or lake without a care. For most people, the boating itself is the whole point of the hobby: once you’re in the boat, you’re set.

Plenty of people bring their boat to wherever they are going to be going boating on a trailer attached to the back of their vehicle, provided the boat is of proper size to drive in, seeing as much bigger boats have to be kept in marinas, which can be expensive. Even today, tons of people still build their own boats out of nothing over wood, nails and ingenuity.

There’s a great range of different boats, from the small to the large. The smallest boats are those designed to be rowed effectively by 2 people, followed by family-sized small boats. Most people who are into boating tend to have been boating with their family, their friends, and the main reason they take their family and friends along is simply because they’ve had such fun memories in the past, they just want it to be far better.

Once you get above small boats, you start to get into powerboats (also known as speedboats and motorboats). They start off as only too large to row, but can go as large as fifty feet long with cabins and large engines – in other words, you can get powerboats that can be as big as a mid size vehicle and about as big as a truck.

While boating is fun, however, it is also hobby in which you need to pay a lot of attention to safety. Lots of boaters die each year, mainly by falling overboard and drowning. It is important that you use common sense as well as making sure to comply with the relevant safety laws, particularly by always taking lifejackets with you.

Without a doubt, boating isn’t entirely limited to just cruising around. You can also set up water-skis on the back of your boat and go water-skiing, or even enter boat racing events, if you think you’re fast enough. You can also fish, both in freshwater and in saltwater, with freshwater fishing being one of the most popular things to do with a boat.

Whether it is almost time to put your pwc on a trailer and get it to the lake, or that time of year where you drain the oil and put it in the garage, you’re going to need a pwc cover to protect your favorite summer sporting toy. Finding a cover that fits your watercraft to a tee is one of the best investments you can make second to buying the thing in the first place. And the best thing is, it’s super easy to find pwc covers online these days, specifically designed to fit your make and year of pwc.

Acquiring pwc covers or seadoo pwc covers with a perfect fit should be the most important factor when you are deciding on a custom cover. This becomes extremely important when it comes time to transport your watercraft ? whether you are 10 minutes or 2 hours from your favorite lake or harbor, trailering a pwc with an improperly fitting cover can be hard on your boat, as well as potentially hazardous for you and/or drivers behind you on the highway.

Probably the second biggest thing to worry about after you’ve choosen a properly fitting cover, is to make sure you consider the material. The material that your pwc cover is made will play the biggest role in how long your cover stays in good enough shape to protect your boat.

Probably the most durable canvas covers are constructed using the Sunbrella brand of fabrics. Sunbrella is specifically engineered to be fade-resistant, and durable enough to stand up to severe sun and weather condition in the south. In addition to sun resistance, the material is woven which prevents build-up of moisture and heat, thereby preventing moisture and mildew damage. The woven material also adds resistance to tearing, shrinking, or mildewing of the cover itself.

It doesn’t matter if you have a seadoo, Yamaha pwc, Kawasaki pwc, or you need a bimini or a doger, or just a plain boat cover, the same two issues are what you need to look for when choosing a cover – a tailored fit, and a durable breathable material. If you find a cover with these two attributes, then it doesn’t matter so much about the color – a nice fitting cover that doesn’t start to fade after one season is going to look a lot better than a cheaper flashy cover.

Many people ask whether they should buy manufacturers pre-fabricated covers for their watercraft, or whether they need to have a custom pwc covering specifically designed and tailored to get the maximum protection. The pre-made options are often tailored to exactly fit a particular make, model and year, so this is often the most cost effective solution as well. It is a good idea to search for some reviews about the quality and attention to detail for the particular cover manufacturer that you are considering ordering from.

So when you are researching what to buy, and whether to try and find it in stock or order online, you now know the two most important specs to watch out for. If you take the time to make sure that you get a good fit and a quality material, you’ll end up with a cover that not only looks great, but keeps your pwc looking great as well.

Who hasn’t dreamed of vacationing on a yacht? Spending lazy days cruising between islands, swimming in warm, turquoise water, and having your every need catered to. It doesn’t have to be just a dream – there are ways to make it a quite affordable reality.

Here are 8 ways that can help you save a bit of money and still have that perfect vacation:

1. Travel with a group of friends/family. It’s always less expensive to share the costs with a group. As an example, I found a crewed sailing yacht in Italy for $9,800/week that sleeps 12 – that breaks down to $816/person. Or how about a skippered boat in the British Virgin Islands for $4,895 that sleeps 6-8? That comes out to $611 – $815/person.

2. Discounts and rebates. Thanks to the current economic situation, many charter companies and boat owners have lowered their rates, and new discounts are being offered all the time. To stay on top of the latest deals, sign up for newsletters and email alerts from yachting magazines, charter companies and yachting websites.

3. Negotiate the price. Again, thanks to the less than stellar economic climate, prices are not set in stone, even if you charter through a company. Also ask about the hidden or extra costs – can they be included in the listing price?

4. Getting to your destination. If you’re chartering through a company, ask them if they offer airfare discounts. Many of the larger charter companies can negotiate lower prices on airlines flying to their charter base than what you are able to find online.

5. Look for last minute deals. Again, signing up for newsletters and setting up Google alerts are great ways to find out about them. There are even entire websites devoted to last minute yacht charters, so do a bit of browsing as well.

6. Go slightly off-season when the weather is still nice but the crowds are lighter and there are more deals available. Late September/early October in the Mediterranean and April-June in the Caribbean are good times to go.

7. Avoid spending the first night in a hotel – instead ask for an “evening boarding” or “early boarding”, which allows to you spend the night before your charter start date on the yacht. There is sometimes a fee associated with this, but it’s usually less than a hotel room, and you only have to unpack once.

8. If you own a boat yourself, check out “boat swapping”. This fairly new way of vacationing is like a home exchange but with boats – a great affordable way to see faraway oceans while not spending a fortune. If you don’t own a boat but are an experienced sailor (you’ll need documents to prove it), see if you can swap your home for someone’s boat.

Chartering a private yacht for a vacation may sound like something only the rich and famous can do, but the truth is that it can be quite affordable, in fact even less expensive than staying in a hotel for a week.

Below are 8 money-saving tips to help make your dream vacation happen:

1. Share the expenses. Traveling with a group is always less expensive. If you can get a group of 8-10 friends together, you can end up paying as little as $800/person for a week on a really nice yacht in the Mediterranean or Caribbean.

2. Take advantage of the weak economy. Many boat owners and charter companies are faced with fewer bookings and are consequently cutting rates and running specials. One way to stay up to date with the latest offerings is to sign up for newsletters from charter companies, magazines and other publications from the part of the world you are interested in.

3. Negotiate the price. Again, thanks to the less than stellar economic climate, prices are not set in stone, even if you charter through a company. Also ask about the hidden or extra costs – can they be included in the listing price?

4. Save on airfare. Many charter companies have special deals with airlines flying to their charter base – make sure to ask before booking anything.

5. Look for last minute deals. Again, signing up for newsletters and setting up Google alerts are great ways to find out about them. There are even entire websites devoted to last minute yacht charters, so do a bit of browsing as well.

6. Travel during shoulder season (in between high and off season). This is the best time to travel: the weather will still be nice, but the crowds are gone, and prices on everything will have gone down. If you’re going to the Mediterranean, consider traveling in September or early October. For the Caribbean, late April to mid-June is the best time.

7. Sleep on board the night before your start date. Instead of spending the first night in a hotel on or close to the charter base, ask if “early boarding” or “evening boarding” is available. Sometimes you will have to pay a fee for this, but it’s less than a hotel, and it saves you the hassle of having to move your stuff from the hotel to the yacht.

8. Boat swapping. If you’re a boat owner, consider swapping boats with someone else. It works just like a home exchange, but with boats, and is a great way to be able to sail exotic waters without spending a fortune. If you are an accomplished boater but don’t own a boat, you can always ask if someone is interested in exchanging their boat for your home for a week.

For people with no previous association to boat propellers, the terms that are used when speaking about different types of propeller and propellers parts can seem quite confusing. This write up aims to increase your basic knowledge when it comes to dealing with boat props.

The parts of a boat prop: The normal boat propeller is made of either three or four blades which surround the hub. The hub, in turn, connects the blades of the propeller to the engines drive shaft. The blades are angled in the way that enables them to screw through water, thereby moving the boat ahead. The leading edge refers to the end of the blade that cuts through water, and the opposite side is referred to as the trailing edge.

The drive shafts teeth are referred to as splines, and these arent part of the propeller itself. A hubs design ensures that it fits into a drive shaft keeping in view the number of splines it has.

Features: The classification of a boat prop essentially depends on its diameter and pitch. This is normally displayed in inches with two numbers (for example, 14.5 x 12) and is usually found stamped on the hub. The diameter is referred to by the first number and is the distance from the center of the hub to the end of the blade. The pitch of the prop is denoted by the second number, and gives the distance that can theoretically be traveled by the prop on a single revolution. For instance, a 12 pitch prop can travel about one foot on a single revolution. Pitch is generally referred to as a theoretical number because slips in pitch can be experienced in varied circumstances. A slip is the ratio difference between the distance that is actually traveled and the given prop pitch. The slip could vary under the same conditions; for example, while a heavily loaded work boat could show a 70% slip, a well maintained boat could experience a 10% slip in the same waters.

Rotation of a propeller can be right or left hand, and most boat propellers come with right hand rotation. Left handed rotation is generally found aboard boats that require heavy steering wherein the motors torque is countered using double engines.

A cupped blade is used to describe blades that have undergone special treatment wherein the trailing edges are curved. This is known to elevate performance levels in specific scenarios.

The rake refers to the blades angle from the hub. A negative rake indication shows that the blades are pointed forward (towards the boats front), and this is generally done to strengthen high end props.

Also, if you intend to buy yourself a new boat propeller, you should ideally make a note of your engines specifics which would include the model, the make, and the horse-power; as well as the propellers specifications like its material, pitch, diameter, blades, etc. With this information in hand, your hunt for a boat propeller should get considerably easier.

For thousands of years, we’ve learned to forge our way across the waters as a means of travel. Since the 21st century began, so too has Old Town kayaks, and they’ve been fashioning kayaks since 1940. Taking the original inspiration from Native Americans’ canoes, Old Towne began making kayaks with sealskin design, along with wood and canvas materials.

Starting around the 1950′s, Old Town began manufacturing toward the use of lightweight fiberglass. Their kayaks are now produced with durable PolyLink3 and SuperLink3–a trend towards new, contemporary use of materials in the new century. With so many different styles to choose from, how does one determine the best kayak to suit their needs?

Kayaks are quite different from the lowly canoe. They permit you to easily and quickly maneuver across the water using double-bladed paddles. Since you travel faster and closer to the water than other water craft, you typically have greater stability in a kayak. If you’re considering the purchase of a kayak, be sure to understand how you’re planning to use it. Such factors as the kayak’s materials, weight, capacity cockpit and overall size will be very important as you weigh in the factors for your decision.

If you’re interested only in recreational kayaks, you will be delighted to know that so many styles, designs and choices exist. These models are very user-friendly and are ready to shove off into the water at a moment’s notice. In addition, day touring kayak models have great tracking capabilities and they’re stable and highly-efficient to boot. Some kayaks even provide open cockpits that allow kayakers to quickly and easily enter and exit their kayaks. Both sportsmen and families alike will find much enjoyment in their use of day touring kayak models.

If there are two of you preparing for to kayak, you may wish to consider a tandem model. Tandem kayaks are great for couples, and are very suitable for all kinds of bodies of water. Fishing kayaks are lightweight, stable, and have features that enhance the experience of fishing and kayaking simultaneously. Both models have the same type of construction, such as shock cord deck riggings, cockpits, deck hatches and handles for carrying.

Old Town kayaks, built in Maine, have tried to manufacture kayaks for everyones taste. The shorter the kayak, the more maneuverable they are and lighter. Longer kayaks are great for cruising and traveling in the open waters. They are also better for day trips and overnighters. Wide boats are good for photographers and fishermen and narrow boats go farther. The bottom layer is also important in your purchase of Old Town kayaks for sale.

Flat bottom kayaks will make your journey more comfortable through calm waters. Shallow arch bottoms work best in choppy waters. When you need to improve tracking over water, the V-bottom kayaks may be the ideal choice for you. In addition, kayaks vary with the sides that are built. When the sides of a kayak is curved inward, this is called a tumblehome design, which is typically that of a narrow kayak. Flared sides allow the kayak to function best while sitting deeper in the water. Old Town kayaks are produced from a variety of materials including 100% recycled plastic, polyethylene and a variable layer boat.

Among the models made by Old Town, Maine include the Digio 106 Angler. Lying low in the water, this kayaks allows fishermen to navigate silently through the water. This model includes rod holders. Another angler model is known as the Vapor 12xt with day well, and even includes storage for your GPS and iPods. You can travel just about anywhere in this kayak! The Adventure and Cayuga series are great kayak models for those looking for day tours. These models are set up with features that make them terrific choices for overnight excursions.

Already round for decades, Old Town kayaks plan on building quality boats well into the new century. The company prides itself on their understanding of craftsmanship exhibited so well by the native American people. Old Town will certainly succeed in competing against the competition with high-quality and easily affordable kayaks providing fun for young and old.

Forging our ways across the waters has been a method of travel for thousands of years. Old Town Kayaks has been around since the twenty-first century, fashioning kayaks since 1940. Originally inspired by the canoe of the Native Americans, Old Towne began manufacturing kayaks with sealskin design, as well as wood and canvas.

Beginning in the 1950s, the manufacturing moved onward to the use of lightweight fiberglass. Now, in the new century the kayaks are produced with durable PolyLink3 and SuperLink3. With all these different styles, how do you determine what is best for you?

Kayaks are different than canoes, as they allow you to easily maneuver yourself in the water with double bladed paddles. You can travel faster and closer to the water for better stability. When you are thinking of your purchase, have in mind what you are to use the kayak for. The size, weight, cockpit, capacity and materials will all be important to your final decision as well.

Those of you interested in solely recreational uses, there are models ready for you to purchase that are user friendly and ready to toss into the water. Day touring kayaks are stable, have good tracking and are highly efficient. Open cockpits have been built for easy entry and exit. Sportsmen and families would enjoy the day tour models.

You may want to consider getting a tandem kayak if there are two of you ready to traverse the waters. These types of kayaks are terrific for all kinds of bodies of water. Lightweight and stable fishing kayaks come with features that work well for those who enjoy fishing and kayaking together. These kayak models have the same anatomy: Shock cord deck riggings, cockpits, deck hatches, and even carrying handles.

Constructed in Maine, Old Town kayaks are manufactured by a company that fully cares about producing kayaks that fit everyone’s taste and style. While shorter kayaks tend to be lighter and have greater maneuverability, longer kayaks provide a pleasurable experience in cruising and travel in open water. Longer kayaks are also preferred over shorter kayaks for overnighters and day trips. Wider boats are ideal for photographers and fishermen becuase they provide a more stable experience. Narrow boats are preferable for those planning on farther excursions. When considering the purchase of Old Town kayaks for sale, also be sure to check out the bottom layer of the boat, which is also an important component to consider.

Flat bottom kayaks will make your journey more comfortable through calm waters. Shallow arch bottoms work best in choppy waters. The Cayuga and Adventure series are great for day tours. They are both set up with features that make them wonderful choices for overnighters.

Old Town kayaks have been around for decades and plan on lasting well into the new century. Priding themselves on their understanding of the native peoples craftsmanship, the company intends to thwart the competition with their high quality and easily affordable merchandise.

Boat seats are an important part of your vessel, whether you use it for fishing, sunbathing, leisure, or to transport your friends out for a picnic in the middle of a lake.

To make sure that the seats in your boat are of the right type for your purpose, as well as to allow for their best upkeep, which will maintain your boat’s value over time, it’s important to know about the skin and bones of the seats – the upholstery and the materials.

Faded or bent seats, or seats showing a lot of wear and tear, are not only eyesores but they will also result in lowering the appeal and value of the boat. And they will ultimately be more expensive due to higher care requirements.

For the frame, there are a lot of different boat seat materials available on the market. Very common ones are metal, especially steel, and also fiberglass. There are other types of lastic that is used too, but fiberglass is by far the most common.

If you are getting new seats for your boat and the material employed is steel, make sure that it’s been coated with an anti-rust layer, or better still, it’s stainless steel. The boat seat frame is usually not apparent, so you’ll have to check the manufacturer’s specs.

One of the most important boat seat materials is the upholstery, but please note that not all boat seats need and have it. Some are hard seats, and have wooden benches and backrests attached to a frame of a more solid material.

Hard seating that isn’t padded is often fitted with cushions. Whether the boat seats you are after are fitted with cushions or non-removable upholstery, please note that the available range of fabrics and colors is usually much bigger for indoors seats than for on-deck seats.

Boat seats that are intended for on-deck use must be proofed against environmental hazards such as light from the sun and wind. Marine grade vinyl is often used for boat seat upholstery, although there are other possibilities.

Alternatives to marine grade vinyl include nylon, weatherproofed leather, and other high-grade fabrics. These are usually more expensive, but also more luxurious, nicer to look at and more comfortable.

When shopping for the right boat seats, you need to make sure that the materials durable and long lasting. With your input and the above information, local boat parts manufacturer or supplier will be able to determine which fabrics are suitable for your boat seats and which are not.

Now that the warm summer months are rapidly approaching, many folks find themselves wanting to get out on the water to do some fishing. This is a great activity as fishing gives a lot of people the relaxation time that they have been wanting for so long. While some folks do not mind going out on ultra-fast boats to fish, others tend to prefer the peacefulness that comes with kayaking. There is just something about sea or fishing kayaking that people cannot get enough of.

If you have yet to kayak by yourself, then it is highly recommended that you go out with someone having kayaking experience. Even though most kayakers prefer a calm ride, there are some things you’ll want to carefully watch. You might, for example, want to wait a bit before buying a kayak for yourself until you get the hang of riding and paddling one. By getting familiar with the sport first, you’ll get the experience you need to make a wise decision when it comes time to purchasing one on your own. This will also give you the chance to learn more about the sport so that you’ll get the familiarity you need when shopping for your perfect kayak.

When you head out on the water for the first few kayaking experiences, make sure that your experienced friend who’s accompanying you walks you through the ropes and answers all your questions. If you don’t have access to an experienced kayaking friend, then you will probably want to seek the advice from a professional. Many facilities now offer specialized courses in kayaking. Rent a kayak for a few hours with an instructor and you’ll get the best start towards learning this relaxing and fun activity which will provide you with a lifetime of enjoyable water and fishing experiences.

Once you’ve learned all there is to know, you can then pass your knowledge onto friends and family so that they can enjoy the fun with you. They can also get their own kayaks and go out with you for some valued, quality time on the water. Either way, kayaking provides adventures that all can enjoy amongst their friends and family. In no time, you’ll be on your way to looking like professional kayakers, and you’ll wonder how you ever fished before learning how to paddle a kayak.

Selecting a kayak is a process that begins by considering the lifestyle of you and your family. Kayaks are like many other modes of transportation: There are a wide assortment of models and styles from which to choose. The type of kayak you choose will be largely based on how you plan to use it. Let’s take a look at the five hottest brands on the market today. These brands offer a great mix of high-adventure styles. You’ll find kayaks that fit nearly every performance requirement–from maneuvering the rapids to a calm ride across the lake to a relaxing day of trout fishing.

1.) Old Town Kayaks. What does a company named the Old Town Canoe Company know about kayaks? Just about everything. Old Town is the oldest and largest canoe and kayak manufacturer, dating way back to 1898. With a much-deserved images for quality, Old Town is known best for leading the kayaking business in craftsmanship and innovation. Old Town’s kayaking line includes safe, stable sea kayaks, tandem kayaks, touring kayaks, exciting recreational kayaks and, of course, fishing kayaks. Old Town is known for combining modern materials and stylish contemporary design forms to their traditional, time-honored paddle craft. No wonder Old Town leads as a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts and sportsmen/sportswomen.

2.) Perception Kayaks. Perception answers when the Great Outdoors calls. This world-class kayaking company has been designing cutting-edge kayaks since the 1970s with their pioneering efforts in introducing the plastic kayak. Today, by using these latest innovative technologies, Perception has stayed ahead of the competition by addressing the wants, needs and desires of a new generation of kayakers. Perception kayaks are pervasive in the touring and recreational kayak line, but also have a giant selection of sporting-rec and sit-on-top kayaks to suit the needs of the most discriminating kayakers. Nearly 30 years later, the same passion that created the first line of Perception kayaks now drives development resulting in the release of sleek, new and innovatively-designed kayaks.

3.) Dagger Kayaks. The story of Dagger begins with a few kayaker friends who worked feverishly in a small shop with a dirt room floor to create leading-edge, world-class kayaks. Dagger kayaks are a kayakers favorite among all brands today. The company is well-regarded for developing and releasing the highest quality kayaks available. The Dagger kayaking line of products are field tested by a collective group of kayaking professionals known as ‘Team Dagger’ before their products are released to the public. Those who wisely purchase Dagger kayaks can feel confident knowing that their kayak met the highest standards before Dagger was willing to give it their stamp of approval.

4.) Hobie Kayaks. With a proud heritage of water craft behind them, Hobie spawned their ubiquitous brand to become a well-respected leader in sea and fishing kayaks. Hobie claims that ‘their mother was a sailboat and their father was a surfboard’. Hobie demonstrates this motto in their water craft design. This results in the creation of the most innovative, high-tech kayaks on the market today. Hobies expertise and heritage redefines the industry standard. Take, for example, their MirageDrive pedaling system. This system uses two underwater flippers similar to a penguins fins, to power the kayak. In addition, Hobie kayaks integrate a seamless, roto-molded, polethylene construction method. Some people argue that Hobie kayaks are closer to guided missiles than typical traditional kayaks of years gone by.

5.) Pelican Kayaks. Now going into their 40th year, Pelican International is recognized as a leader in producing affordable, high-quality water craft products. Pelican now produces hundreds of boats”from pedal boats and fishing boats to canoes and, of course, durable and affordable kayaks. The company has been a leader in the development of exclusive technologies that set benchmarked standards of excellence for impact resistance, and for products’ ability to regain shape after violent impacts, as well as their UV-protected exteriors. Pelican targets the recreational user, and are an excellent choice for the outdoor enthusiast looking for a balance between quality and affordability.

For those lacking current experience with kayaking, you may not fully understand what the fuss is all about. Once you’ve taken your first fishing trip on a kayak, you will likely see the light and understand what everyone has been talking about all these years. Kayaking in the ocean, river, or lake is just an all-around great time for the entire family. Since most kayaking takes place at a relaxing pace, you are forced to take your time and take in all of the scenery around you. With our lives so hectic these days, there is no reason to do anything other then move slowly and truly relax out on the water.

There are a lot of different models of boat seats, and knowing their dissimilarities and possible uses will allow you to make an informed decision and to buy the one that suits you and your boat best.

Lounge boat seats are very common, especially on motor yachts or other non-sailing vessels, such as skiffs. They are intended to carry several passengers in a comfortable, not too sporty environment. They can be found both below deck and on deck, and come in a variety of fittings.

They come in many different sizes depending on the boat layout and plan, and are usually fixedly mounted into the boat. If they are intended for outside use and are not inside a cabin, they are usually UV treated to provide for mildew resistance.

One kind of pretty common lounge boat seat is the back-to-back seat, which is comprised of two boat seats that are attached together at their backrests. These are quite common on boats carrying a lot of passengers such as ferries, but also on leisure fishing pontoons for instance. They are often integrated with tables, with multiple back-to-back seat rows being alternated with tables.

Some seats come in bench designs and are very common on pontoon-like boats or other boats carrying a lot of passengers. Several of these kinds of seating arrangements have optional removable backrests and thickly clustered cushions for superior comfort.

Some bench design seats are collapsible, allowing for the passengers to move around no the boat more easily while not seated.

The most minimalist kind of boat seat is probably the leaning post. This may strike you as a surprise, but these posts can be fitted with small benches, strategically placed padding, or other solutions to make sure that they can be used to rest a weary bottom.

These posts are most often used for center console boats, to give passengers some more stability when moving around. They can function as a leaning post, a seat or a bench. On fishing boats, it is common to have leaning post type seats to include up to four fishing rod holders, as well as an integrated hand and foot rail.

Boat seat types are of different kinds, and the ideal one for you will depend a lot on the kind of use that you intend to put the seat through. Are you carrying passengers, do you need a high performance cockpit seat, or are you looking for custom vintage is seating?

Also, once you have found the boat seat model that you want, make sure to compare several merchants on price to make sure that you get the most bang for your buck.

Fishing Boats

the first time I went on a fishing boat I was about 25 years old. I had always been scared of water previously and, to be honest, if I hadn’t been a bit drunk and in sort of a reckless mood that day, I wouldn’t have even agree to go out. The friend who took me out was just the opposite of me. He had practically been raised on fishing boats. He had been sea fishing, lake fishing, river fly fishing – he had done pretty much any kind of fishing you could think of. He had even done it professionally for a couple of years, but had left that life behind because he missed his girlfriend too much.

The sort of expedition we were going on was pretty tame in comparison to some of the stuff he had done. This was not one of those big deep sea fishing boats that I used to watch going out to sea when our family would take trips out to the ocean side. This was just a little aluminum fishing boat – basically a small, flat bottomed boat with a little outboard motor on it. It was stable for its size, but its size wasn’t very big.

As soon as we left sure, I started to regret it. As I said, I’d never been on fishing boats before, and rocking back and forth, already a little tipsy, was doing nothing to assuage my anxious stomach. All my other friends made fun of me because I was hanging on for dear life as we went along at the overwhelming speed of 5 knots.

As soon as he moored it in the middle of the water, however, I calmed down a little bit. I didn’t realize that, with fishing boats, the goal was to find a good spot and then sit there. I would have been down with that. I just wasn’t into the traveling to and from part. As soon as we were sitting there, rocking gently with the waves, I actually started to enjoy it. It was really mellowing me out nicely, and the look of the sea and the sky had me drifting off into a blissful state. I did not actually catch anything, but one of my friends did. He got a big bass that was actually large enough to feed all of us together. We took it in, cleaned it and cooked it up, and served it simple with some boiled potatoes. Somehow, the fact that we had caught it made it taste better.

Often, people do not take the time to pick the right boat, but it is a good idea to consider the Gambler Bass Boats as top of the line options for your bass fishing expedition. It’s also important to get one that allows easy use of the Evening Secret. There’s a video showing it’s use here: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1459072/evening_secret_bait_fish_catching/

If you are in the market for a bass boat, chances are you have done your homework, and if you have narrowed it down to a choice between Gambler Bass Boats, you have narrowed your choice down to one of the forerunners in the market known for their speed and handling in bass rich water conditions, and are probably seriously researching how to pick the right Gambler bass boat for your needs.

Everyone knows Gambler bass boats are not inexpensive, and your purchase of a Gambler bass boat will most likely be the single most significant investment you will make when it comes to your chosen sport of bass fishing. As a result of this substantial investment, the gambler bass boat you choose should not be made lightly.

New manufacturing processes have narrowed the gap between the top manufacturers of bass boats, and made comparison stiffly competitive. This is a good thing because it provides anglers with a better boat since each company is vying for your investment dollars.

As a result, choosing Gambler was probably a decision based on several factors, chief among them, the speed, quality, handling, and overall performance of this powerhouse manufacturer in the world of bass boats.

When deciding which Gambler bass boat is the best choice for you, just remember to ask yourself some key questions. Consider the type of water in which you normally fish.

Decide which of these features really matter the most to you: Safety, speed, styling, stability, features, handling, etc. Finally, consider such things as budget and size before making a final decision on your choice of Gambler bass boats.

There is no need to purchase an expensive top of the line boat if you only plan to fish with it for one time. Be sure you love the sport and will use it well.

If you have done your research and still have questions about which boat is best for you, consider doing some hands on shopping. Consult with reputable dealers sales associates.

If a dealer knows you are serious about shopping with them, and you are dedicated to making the best choice for your personal needs, they will be glad to help out. If you can make it to a game and fish show, all the better.

They are a wealth of information, and you can pick up literature to take home and peruse at your leisure to decide which Gambler bass boat is best for you.

One bit of information that might help you is to understand that Gambler bass boats are considered by most avid bass anglers to be the single fastest bass boat on the market.

Gambler is perhaps best known for the Dale Earnhardt limited edition Intimidator bass boat. All Gambler bass boats feature a double hull construction using real Dupont Kevlar. This use of Dupont Kevlar creates a much stronger back structure by bolting the inner hull to the outer hull mold.

If you coming ashore at a beach or flat land area it are relatively simple to rest your boat on land, especially if you have a partner: While coming ashore on flat land, angle your boat to the right. The person seated at the bow of the kayak can step out of the board and pull the kayak slightly onto land. You will lose stability if you try to drag the boat too far onto the shore. You could also damage the hull of your kayak. Once the bow passenger is on dry land, the person at the stern moves forward preparing to jump off ship, which he succeeds.

The kayak at this time will lift from the waters. If you are preparing to come ashore at a dock, move your kayak alongside the dock first. Both passengers at this time will exit the vessel near the center of the boat. (Amidships) If more than two passengers are in the boat the third passenger can exit first. Otherwise, all three passengers can gather in a group near the center of the boat, which the bow passenger will then exit. The bow passenger can then secure the vessel while using a painter to dock the boat. Useful practice experience.

You are now on shore.

Coming ashore is a replica of boarding kayaks. When you are preparing to come to shore use the basic steps you took when boarding your kayak. You want to avoid capsizing while coming ashore, so think before you exit your boat.

Boarders tend to put their center foot into the kayak and/or canoe first while using both hands to grip the boat for support. Your weight will always affect the boat, which the bow generally lifts from the waters.

Kayaks are sporting canoes. The canoes are often lightweight and made of fiberglass. People use kayaks for leisure, travel, competitions, whitewater events, inland travel and sports. The material is delicate, yet built to last. However, if you fail to launch, carry, or come ashore correctly, you can damage your boat.

Now we can discuss safety tips:

Always carry CGAPSD aboard ship.

Tip: Always wear a lifejacket when kayaking, since proper buoyancy and lifejackets combined could give you extra support when capsizing.

Never hurry when boarding, or coming ashore in your kayak, especially in shallow draft kayaks. The lightweight vessels are sensitive to weight dispersal. When you move inside a shallow draft kayak, it is important to remain calm. If you want to change your seating in a kayak, take your time and do it as gently as possible.

Exiting a kayak should fall under the same guidelines. If you move outside the limits of the boats gravity, you can flip the vessel easily. Keep this in your mind when boarding, coming ashore, and exiting your boat.

Tip: Never leave on a kayaking trip with fear. Leave your fears behind and pick them up later. In addition, do not play guessing games in water, learn, practice, and practice some more before you attempt a full kayaking trip.

Kayakers tend to learn basic and advance strokes before attempting to kayak. This is smart sense each detail you learn could save your life. In addition, ALL kayakers should master the Eskimo roll before attempting a kayak trip. The Eskimo roll can help you recover from nearly any capsized situation. If you plan to travel in pairs, or groups, make sure all of you learn the Eskimo Roll together and remove any doubts, confusion, etc. In other words, harmonize the Eskimo roll together.

Ready for a trip – this is your vacation packing checklist.
